MINUTES CITY OF LARAMIE, WYOMING CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING January 22, 2013 Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Paulekas at 6:00 p.m. The City Clerk read the following notice: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL MEETING OF THE LARAMIE CITY COUNCIL WILL BE HELD TUESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2013, 6:00 P.M. COUNCIL CHAMBERS, CITY HALL, 406 IVINSON ST. LARAMIE, WY, FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE: 1. CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION, AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FY 2013 CITY OF LARAMIE BUDGET. Roll call showed present: Vicki Henry, Jayne Pearce, Roger McKinley, Lee Kempert, Joe Vitale, Joe Shumway, Paul Weaver, and Dave Paulekas. Absent: Klaus Hanson. Consideration of Resolution No. 2013-13, Emergency Budget appropriate in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 for the Police Department to replace necessary supplies and equipment. The City Clerk read Resolution No. 2013-13 by title only. RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE ALLOCATION OF ADDITIONAL BUDGET FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000.00, TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO REPLACE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES LOST IN A 20 JANUARY 2013 FIRE, WHICH ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE DAY TO DAY OPERATION OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. MOTION BY HENRY, seconded by Shumway, that Council approve Resolution No. 2013-13, authorizing a Budget Amendment in an amount not to exceed $100,000.00 which will provide funding for the PD to replace vital and necessary equipment and supplies lost in a fire which occurred on 20 January, 2013. Roll call showed aye: Henry, Pearce, McKinley, Kempert, Vitale, Shumway, Weaver, and Paulekas. Nays: None. Absent: Hanson. MOTION CARRIED. Adjournment.
