TRAFFIC COMMISSION September 12, 2013 STAFF REPORT REQUEST: Specifically Reserved Handicap Parking Space LOCATION: 1115 Reynolds Street APPLICANT(S)/AGENT: Lawana R. Garrett OWNER: ROW (City of Laramie) PURPOSE: Install a specifically reserved handicap parking space at 1115 Reynolds Street PREPARED BY: Eric Jaap, Civil Engineer RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve placement of a specifically reserved handicap parking space for the license plate number WY 05-195 and for a handicap hanger 133054 at the location of 1115 Reynolds Street. BACKGROUND: This location already has a temporary handicap parking space. The applicant needs a specifically reserved handicap parking space since they are adjacent to the high school and parking can be limited at times. ADDITIONAL ANALYSIS: City staff sees no issues with the placement of the specifically reserved handicap parking space. This is an owner occupied residence. A R7-8 sign will be used at this location along with the license plate number and the handicap hanger number. A picture of the sign has been included in your packet. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Staff has received no public comments regarding this application. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of staff to approve placement of a specifically reserved handicap parking space for license plate number WY 05-195 and for a handicap hanger 133054 at the location 1115 Reynolds Street.
