MINUTES CITY OF LARAMIE, WYOMING CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING April 3, 2013 Special Meeting was called to order by Mayor Paulekas at 6:41 p.m. The City Clerk read the following notice: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE FOLLOWING MEETINGS OF THE LARAMIE CITY COUNCIL WILL BE HELD WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 2013, 6:00 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBER OF CITY HALL, 406 IVINSON STREET, LARAMIE, WY, FOR THE FOLLOWING PURPOSE: 1. SPECIAL MEETING: CONSIDERATION OF FUNDING LEVELS FOR COMMUNITY PARTNERS ORGANIZATIONS. Roll call showed present: Vicki Henry, Jayne Pearce, Roger McKinley, Joe Vitale, Klaus Hanson, Joe Shumway, Paul Weaver, and Dave Paulekas. Absent: Lee Kempert. MOTION BY SHUMWAY, seconded by Henry, that Council approve funding for our Community Partners at a level of 2 % increase over last year’s funding and approve funding allocations for FY2013-14 to the following Community Partners: Albany County Public Library, $13,714; Crime Victim/Witness, $9,328; Laramie Main Street Alliance, $25,778; Laramie Plains Civic Center, $16,667; Laramie Regional Airport, $91,628; Lincoln Center, $6,863; Freedom Has a Birthday, $767; Laramie Plains Museum, $5,667; Railroad Depot, $7,689; Quadradangle, $1,733; UW Art Museum, $1,333; Laramie Rifle Range, $3,166; Laramie Rivers Conservation District, $6,389; ARK Regional Services, $21,500; Big Brothers Big Sisters, $12,333; CLIMB Wyoming $10,056; Eppson Center for Seniors, $41,655; Developmental Preschool and Daycare, $6,611; Downtown Clinic, $5,000; Hospice, $6,167; Interfaith Good Samaritan $27,000; Laramie Reproductive Health, $1,700; Laramie Soup Kitchen, $5,455; Laramie Youth Crisis Center, $32,578; Red Cross, $1,444; Retired Senior Volunteers, $472; SAFE Project, $11,075; and Wyoming Family Homeownership Project, $1,126; for a total of $374,892.00. Roll call showed Aye: Vicki Henry, Jayne Pearce, Roger McKinley, Joe Vitale, Klaus Hanson, Joe Shumway, Paul Weaver, and Dave Paulekas. Nays: Vitale on Laramie Reproductive Health. Absent: Lee Kempert. MOTION CARRIED. MOTION BY HANSON, seconded by Henry, that Council adjourn. MOTION CARRIED by voice vote.
