LARAMIE CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING 2013 Business Ready Community Grant & Loan Program Application, HI VIZ June 4, 2013 Public Hearing was called to order by Mayor Paulekas at 6:37 p.m. City Council present: Vicki Henry, Jayne Pearce, Lee Kempert, Joe Vitale, Klaus Hanson, Joe Shumway, and Dave Paulekas. Absent: Roger McKinley and Paul Weaver. The City Clerk read the notice: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 2013 BUSINESS READY COMMUNITY GRANT AND LOAN PROGRAM APPLICATION FOR A BUSINESS COMMITTED PROJECT. THE WYOMING BUSINESS COUNCIL IS SEEKING GRANT AND LOAN APPLICATIONS FORM COUNTIES, INCORPORATED CITIES, TOWNS, JOINT POWERS BOARDS, AND TRIBES FOR THE 2013 BUSINESS READY COMMUNITY (BRC) GRANT AND LOAN PROGRAM. THE CITY OF LARAMIE INTENDS TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A BRC BUSINESS COMMITTED GRANT FOR HI VIZ, WHICH IS CONSIDERING RELOCATION TO LARAMIE AND IS SEEKING CITIZEN INPUT REGARDING THIS PROJECT. THOSE WISHING TO COMMENT ON THIS PROJECT ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND A PUBLIC HEARING ON THIS SUBJECT ON JUNE 4TH, 2013, AT 6:30 P.M. IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF CITY HALL, 406 IVINSON AVENUE. Mayor Paulekas asked if there were any public comments. City Manager Janine Jordan requested Sarah Reese, Grant Manager, to provide information on this project. Reese gave an overview of the project, and informed Council that this item will be before Council on the June 18, 2013 Council Meeting for consideration. Tim Hale spoke concerning LEDC.
