“A Place for All” CITY OF LARAMIE PARKS, TREE & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD AGENDA MEETING DATE: December 12, 2012 TIME: 7:00 PM LOCATION: Recreation Center large conference room – 920 Boulder Drive Consent Agenda: 1. To approve the minutes from the November 14, 2012 regular meeting of the Parks, Tree and Recreation Advisory Board. (Owen, pages 1-3) 2. Acknowledge receipt of the report to the Albany County Weed and Pest Board on Mosquito Control operations for 2012. (Wardlaw, pages 4-10) 3. Acknowledge receipt of the Laramie River Greenbelt trail counts for 2012. (Wardlaw, pages 11-12) 4. To approve the Adopt A Trail Along Greenbelt Park agreement between the City of Laramie and UNIWYO Federal Credit Union for general cleanup of one-quarter mile of the Laramie River Greenbelt. (Wardlaw, page 13-16) 5. Acknowledge Receipt of the Daniels Fund grant award in the amount of $9,000 for the youth speed skating program at the Ice & Event Center. (Hunter, page 17-25) Motion seconded that the consent agenda be approved and that each specific action on the consent agenda be approved as indicated within the staff reports. (Items listed on the consent agenda are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed above. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Board Member or citizen so requests, in which case the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered on the regular agenda.) Regular Agenda: 1. Consideration of the request to waive the facility reservation fee for the Annual Elks Lodge Hoop Shoot Competition. (Hunter, pages 26-27) 2. Consideration of the Cemetery fee structure amendments to establish a fee for multiple cremain interments. (Wardlaw, pages 28-33) 3. Consideration of the grant application to the National Endowment for the Arts for an “Our Town” grant in partnership with the Laramie Beautification Committee, the University of Wyoming Art Museum, and the Laramie Main Street Alliance for a strategic public art plan for the City of Laramie. (Harrison, pages 34-36) 4. Consideration of the request to waive the facility reservation fee for Coed Hockey Club’s fundraising efforts to benefit an injured player. (Hunter, pages 37-39) 5. Consideration of the rental agreements between the City of Laramie and the University of Wyoming Art Museum for the Russin sculpture in Undine Park and the Kearney alligator sculpture at the city annex building.
