LEDC is a non-profit organization that was established in 1985 to provide local economic development programs and initiatives. LEDC not only works to attract and retain new businesses, it also facilitates the expansion and development of existing businesses in order to achieve sustainable growth and improve the economic well-being of Laramie and Albany County citizens. Dear Directors and Partners, What a tremendous success we had yesterday for LEDC and Laramie! In case you haven't heard, the Wyoming Business Council approved the full $5.4 million dollar grant for funding for Cirrus Sky Technology Park. Not only is this the largest Business Council grant ever, but it is a deviation from the original staff recommendation which included a grant/loan split combination. I am so proud of the Cirrus Sky team, LEDC staff and directors, City staff, UW personnel, elected officials and all of our partners that brought this project to fruition. This has been years in the making and a total team effort. While we have surpassed a major step in this process, we aren't done yet. Please mark your calendars. The State Loan and Investment Board must review and approve the Business Council's decision. SLIB meets and considers our project on January 17th at 8:00 a.m. in Cheyenne. Please plan to attend. We need to pack the room again just like we did yesterday. This final step is critical. Congratulations, Thank You, Cheers and Happy Holidays!
