Traffic Commission May 09, 2013 Page 1 of 2 MINUTES Traffic Commission Thursday, May 09, 2013 at 7:00 AM Historic Carnegie Building 1st Floor Conference Room 405 Grand Avenue, Laramie, WY 82070 The Traffic Conference meetings are open to the public. Requests from person with disabilities must be made to the Community Development Department 48 hours in advance of the meeting. 1. CALL TO ORDER/ ROLL CALL Meeting convened at 7:00 AM Members present: Gary Lopez, Michael Moeller, Nancy Sindelar (Chair), Rhonda Young Members absent: Megan Hayes, John Spiegelberg There was a quorum present at all times. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MINUTES 2-A. AGENDA: Thursday, May 09, 2013 Traffic Commission Meeting Agenda Agenda was approved as written. 2-B. MINUTES: Thursday, March 14, 2013Traffic Commission Meeting Minutes MOTION BY LOPEZ, second by Moeller, to approve the Minutes from the March 14, 2013 meeting. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 3. TRAFFIC COMMISSION AND STAFF REPORTS AND COMMENTS None 4. DISCLOSURES Young informed the Commission that she was a member of the Albany County Transportation Authority (ACTA) Board. 5. CURRENT BUSINESS OLD BUSINESS No items NEW BUSINESS 5-A. Request for Specifically Reserved Handicap Parking Space – 1459 North 17th Street The applicant, Ms. Erlinda Lawson requested that a specifically reserved handicap parking space be installed in front of her residence at 1459 North 17th Street. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 5-B. Request for Bus Stop along Beech Street The applicant, Albany County Transportation Authority (ACTA) requested a bus stop along Beech Street to better serve their patrons. MOTION BY MOELLER, second by Lopez, to approve placement of a bus stop for the ACTA’s Gem City Grand bus at 3821 Beech Street. Aye: 4 Nay: 0 Motion carried. 5-C. Presentation and Discussion regarding the Parks, Recreation, Trails and Natural Areas Master Plan – Presented by Derek Teini and Paul Harrison Commissioners shared their ideas and concerns regarding the Master Plan with Teini and Harrison. 6.
