TRAFFIC COMMISSION October 10, 2013 STAFF REPORT REQUEST: Specifically Reserved Handicap Parking Space LOCATION: 406 Ord Street APPLICANT(S)/AGENT: Janice Workman OWNER: ROW (City of Laramie) PURPOSE: Install a specifically reserved handicap parking space at 406 Ord Street PREPARED BY: Eric Jaap, Civil Engineer RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to approve placement of a specifically reserved handicap parking space for the license plate number WY 05-70 at the location of 406 Ord Street. BACKGROUND: This location already has a temporary reserved handicap parking space. The applicant is requesting the parking space due to health reasons as noted in the application. ADDITIONAL ANALYSIS: City staff sees no issues with the placement of the specifically reserved handicap parking space. This is an owner occupied residence. A R7-8 sign will be used at this location along with the license plate number. A picture of the sign has been included in your packet. PUBLIC COMMENTS: Staff has received no public comments regarding this application. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of staff to approve placement of a specifically reserved handicap parking space for license plate number WY 05-70 at the location 406 Ord Street.
