TALKING POINTS Laramie is a growing Technology Hub—with more than 60 technology oriented businesses employing almost 500 people at an average wage of $65,000, Cirrus Sky Technology Park (CSTP) will enhance job growth and diversity, improving job availability and wages for residents of Laramie. Cirrus Sky Technology Park (CSTP) in its first phase capitalizes on the synergy created by a partnership between the University of Wyoming, Laramie Economic Development Corporation and the City of Laramie to create a “clean, green, shovel ready” technology park. CSTP utilizes readily available power sources in the area with the Western Area Power Authority (WAPA) and Rocky Mountain Power substations. CSTP acknowledges the community desire to preserve open space and create trail connectivity along the ridgeline and creates a live/work/play environment for technology companies as the infrastructure is developed to accommodate these businesses.
