“A Place for All” PARKS, TREE & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD AGENDA MEETING DATE: January 8, 2014 TIME: 6:30 PM LOCATION: Recreation Center large conference room – 920 Boulder Drive Consent Agenda: 1. To approve the minutes from the December 11, 2013 regular meeting of the Parks, Tree and Recreation Advisory Board. (Owen, pages 1-4) 2. To approve the renewal of an Adopt a Trail Along the Greenbelt Park Agreement between the City of Laramie and Handel Information Technologies for a one-quarter mile section of the Laramie River Greenbelt and to authorize the City Manager to sign. (Schott, pages 5-8) 3. To approve the renewal of an Adopt a Trail Along the Greenbelt Park Agreement between the City of Laramie and Trihydro Corporation for a one-quarter mile section of the Laramie River Greenbelt and to authorize the City Manager to sign. (Schott, pages 9-12) 4. To acknowledge the efforts of Shirley Lilley in bringing the Laramie Community Recreation Center to fruition and authorize her name to be added to the plaque in the front lobby in the $1,000-$4,900 contribution level. (Guerin, pages 13-15) 5. To authorize the submission of a grant for the 2013 Laramie Youth Basketball Tournament in the amount of $2,000 and forward on to City Council for their consideration. (Guerin, pages 16-17) Motion seconded that the consent agenda be approved and that each specific action on the consent agenda be approved as indicated within the staff reports. (Items listed on the consent agenda are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed above. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Board Member or citizen so requests, in which case the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered on the regular agenda.) Consideration of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Laramie Girls Softball Association and the City of Laramie 2014 season. (Guerin, pages 27-36) 3. Consideration of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Laramie and the Laramie Youth Baseball Assocation for the 2014 season. (Guerin, pages 37-46) 4. Consideration of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Laramie and the US Navy allowing the use of the Laramie Community Recreation Center as a location for screening Warrior Challenge Candidates at no charge for the 2014 calendar year. (Guerin, pages 47-50) 5. Consideration of a partnership between the City of Laramie and the UW Snowy Range Summer Theatre program for providing programs at the Edgar J. Lewis Bandshell.
