City of Laramie Summary of Benefits FY13 Rev. July 2012 1. Nine paid City holidays 2. One personal day 3. Sick Leave Policy: 8 hour accrual per month up to 960 hr max (Fire Personnel refer to CBA). 4. Vacation Policy: (Employees hired after 7/1/06) (Fire Personnel refer to CBA) : Number of hours: 0-2 yrs= 8.67 hr per month (104 hours annually) 2-5 yrs= 10 hrs per month (120 hours annually) 6-10 yrs=11.67 hrs per month (140 hours annually) 11 & above yrs=13.33 hrs per month (160 hours annually) Vacation Maximums: less than 15 years of service 240 hours 15 or more years of service 320 hours 5. Life Insurance: Amount of Insurance: two times annual salary rounded up to the next $1000, maximum of $100,000. Additional life insurance is also available to purchase. 6. Long Term Disability Insurance Plan: (City paid premium): Benefit: 40% of salary. Buy-Up Option: (employee paid premium): Total Benefit: 60% of salary Cost: $.0022 x salary 7. Wyoming Retirement System: General Employees Pension: City contributes 10.87% and employee contributes 3.25% Sworn/Police Pension: City contributes 12.35% and employee contributes 4.85% Fire Pension: City contributes 13% and employee contributes 7.5% 8. 457 Deferred Compensation Plan: (optional) Retirement plan through the ICMA Retirement Corporation or Valic, contributions are through payroll deduction and are tax-deferred. 9. Vision Insurance: Optional/Voluntary Coverage 10. Health Insurance: (Includes Dental). Coverage begins date of hire for employee and for dependents. July 2012 11. Unum Critical Illness, Accident and Short Term Disability Insurance: (optional) Additional insurance to cover extra expenses when these issues occur. 12. Flexible Benefits Plan: (optional) Pre-tax plan which allows you to have health insurance premiums or out-of-pocket medical or dependent care expenses deducted before taxes. 13. LCCC classes: Free LCCC classes available to all employees at the Albany County Campus and online. 16.
