How to setup remote (VPN) connection to City of Laramie network First make sure you have an internet connection Click on ’Start’ and then ‘Control Panel’ Select ‘Network and Internet Connections’ ---PAGE BREAK--- Select ‘Create a connection to the network at your workplace’ Choose ‘Virtual Private Network Connection’ ---PAGE BREAK--- Type in “Laramie VPN” in the textbox Type in “65.127.5.125” in the textbox ---PAGE BREAK--- Check the box that says “Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop” and hit ‘Finish’ Now to launch the connection, double-click the new icon on your desktop ---PAGE BREAK--- Click on ‘Properties’ Select the ‘Options’ tab at the top, then check the box that says ‘Include Windows logon domain’ ---PAGE BREAK--- Select the ‘Security’ tab, then select the ‘IPSec Settings’ button Then check the box and enter “L@ram1e” as the key and hit ‘OK’ ---PAGE BREAK--- Now type in your usual city user name and password. For the Domain type in “COL”,. “Then hit Connect” You should now be connected to the city network Remember to disconnect when you are done
