Whether it is your first time purchasing a home or you have bought before, check out these online resources to help you get started on the right track: • Visit the website for the Colorado Housing Finance Authority - Information on buying a home, finding affordable homes, getting financing. • Boulder County Housing Authority website has information on affordable rentals, homebuyers classes, housing counseling. • Buying A Home - Information from the Housing & Urban Development (HUD) website. Lots of great information, including "9 Steps to Buying a Home" and lots of links. • City of Longmont Housing Program - Contains information for home buyers and renters alike. • City of Boulder Housing Program - Contains information for home buyers and renters alike. • Thistle Community Housing - A private non-profit dedicated to helping keep Boulder County's population diverse and inclusive through housing assistance. • Boulder County/Longmont Downpayment Assistance Program - The Boulder County/Longmont Down Payment Assistance Program provides down payment and closing cost assistance, in the form of a loan, to first-time homebuyers purchasing a new home in Boulder County (outside the city limits of Boulder). Up to 8.5% of the purchase price (maximum of $15,000) may be borrowed. • State of Colorado housing portal page - Select Live, then Residents, then Neighborhoods and Housing to link to information on homebuyer's assistance programs, funding options and other programs available statewide. • Funding Partners - A nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the United States Treasury. As a CDFI, Funding Partners is responsible for creating access to capital and credit within underserved markets and among target populations throughout Colorado. • Colorado Rural Housing Development Corporation - Provides services such as down payment assistance and homebuyers education counseling. • Colorado Housing Assistance Corporation - Offers first-time homebuyer classes, mortgage assistance loans and homebuyer counseling.
