S I G N ‘ A ’ C O N C E P T – 2 8 7 & B A S E L I N E D E S C R I P T I O N : A combination of materials and finishes were incorporated in the design to convey the eclectic and diverse personality of Old Town Lafayette. The use of stone, wood, paint and metal brings a rustic, craftsman quality – alluding to the “old west” farming and mining culture that is part of Lafayette’s history – but, with a modern twist. The LED sign is positioned adjacent to the Old Town identity, where color and alignment make for an integrated appearance. A local metal artist might be hired/recruited to create the fanciful scrollwork and other wrought or cut metal features that are part of the sign design. See reverse side for fabrication details.
