NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Klickitat County Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on December 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 205 S. Columbus, Goldendale, WA. THE PURPOSE of said hearing is to hear all interested parties who wish to testify for or against the following proposal: CUP2016-14: Applicant Bible Baptist Church. A Conditional Use Application for the purpose of amending Conditional Use Permit CUP2011-09 transferring ownership of Camp Graceway from Reggie Bartkowski to the Bible Baptist Church. This amendment is required per Condition #1 of CUP2011-09. The camp is located within a portion of Section 31, T4N, R18E, W.M., Klickitat County, WA (Goldendale vicinity). VAR2016-01: Variance Application proposed by the Trout Lake School District requesting a variance from the Klickitat County Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO) and the Klickitat County Zoning Ordinance regarding setbacks. The Trout Lake School District wishes to construct a rubberized track behind the school, utilizing an existing flat grass area (currently the location of the school's grass track) which is located within the buffer setback of a type stream. Additionally, the existing grass track overlaps the property boundary shared by Parcel's 06102300100000 (Trout Lake School District Property) and 06102300000800 (Robert Schmid's Property). Per section 4.3 of the CAO a type stream requires a 150' setback buffer. The applicant is requesting a reduction to 30'. A Critical Areas Report and Wildlife Habitat Management Plan has been prepared to mitigate the reduction (See attached). Within the Extensive Agricultural Zone the side yard setback is The application is requesting a reduction to Only the track surface will be built within the setback, no buildings, bleachers, grandstands or "snack shacks" will be considered within this variance request. The proposed project is located within Section 23, T6N, R10E, W.M. Klickitat County, Trout Lake Vicinity. The Board of Adjustment may approve, deny, approve with conditions, table, or continue the matters to a set time and place.
