Klickitat County Determination of Mitigated Non-Significance Notice is hereby given that Klickitat County issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) on April 27, 2017, under SEPA Rules (Chapter 197-11 WAC) and the Klickitat County Environmental Ordinance Number 121084 for the following proposal: SEPA 2017-07: Applicant: Robert Schmid, Mountain Meadows Dairy Inc.; Property Owner: Esther Schmid Trustee. The current proposal is to construct a new 98’ x 312’ 300 cow dairy freestall barn to house dairy cattle through the winter. Future construction would include a calf raising facility at approximately 8000 sq. ft. proposed to be constructed in 2018-2019. An additional freestall barn of approximately 30,000 sq. ft. would be completed around 2021. The proposed project is located within a portion of Section 19, T6N, R11E, W.M., Klickitat County, WA (33 Schmid Road, Trout Lake, WA 98650 on tax parcel 06111900000600). After review of the completed environmental checklist and other information on file the Klickitat County Responsible Official has determined that these proposals will not have probable significant adverse impacts on the environment. Copies of the MDNS are available at the Klickitat County Planning Department during normal business hours. Comments or appeals on the above environmental review will be accepted until 5:00 pm May 19, 2017. Appeals must be filed with the Klickitat County Auditor’s office. Appeals shall not be deemed complete without payment of the appeal fees applicable to class A projects, payable to Klickitat County Planning Department.
