Board of Health November 29, 2016 The Klickitat County Board of Health meeting was held November 29, 2016 at the Klickitat County Board of Commissioner’s Chambers. Board Members present were Dave Sauter, Rex Johnston and Jim Sizemore. Klickitat County Health Department employees present were Kevin Barry, Lori Koch and Kelly Sizemore. Dave Sauter called the meeting to order at 2:30pm. The first order of business was the adoption of the September 20, 2016 meeting minutes. Jim Sizemore moved to approve the meeting minutes. Rex Johnston Seconded the motion. Motion carried. The second order of business was public comment by Vern Harpole. Mr. Harpole voiced his desire to be involved with Klickitat County Health Department. He suggested adding more members to the Board of Health and that he would like to be a board member. The third order of business was a discussion on the discontinuation of the Title X Family Planning Program. Lori Koch reviewed the revenue of the program and the amount the county has had to contribute to the program in the last 2 years. The board voiced concerns about the loss of services. Jim Sizemore moved to discontinue the Title X Family Planning Program effective the end of March 2017. Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Motion carried. Jim Sizemore moved to adjourn the meeting at 3:01pm. Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Motion carred.
