DOH340-156 KLICKITAT COUNTY Tobacco Use Statistics ADULTS Adult Tobacco Use • Our most recent survey data showed that about 15.0% of adults in Klickitat County smoke cigarettes.1 2004-2008 Smoking Prevalence in Klickitat County 15.0 16.9 21.8 15.4 15.8 0 10 20 30 40 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 Year Percent Quit Line • 125 people from Klickitat County called the Quit Line in the past year.2 YOUTH Current Cigarette Smoking • Our most recent survey data showed:3 6th grade: 2.8% in Klickitat County, and 1.4% statewide, reported they currently smoke cigarettes. 8th grade: 6.7% in Klickitat County, and 7.3% statewide, reported they currently smoke cigarettes. 10th grade: 13.0% in Klickitat County, and 14.4% statewide, reported they currently smoke cigarettes. 12th grade: 25.0% in Klickitat County, and 20.0% statewide, reported they currently smoke cigarettes.
