Board of Health March 30, 2017 The Klickitat County Board of Health meeting was held on March 30, 2017 at the Pioneer Center. David Sauter Called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm. Board members present were Erinn Quinn, Sue Pennington, David Sauter and Rex Johnston. Health Department employees present were Kevin Barry, Lori Koch, Theresa Rundell, Megan Winn and Shawn Blankenship. David Sauter moved to adopt the February 21st Board meeting minutes. Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Vote was unanimous. Motion carried. The first order of business was to discuss and update all Board members and the Community on the future plans for the Family Planning Program. Errin Quinn presented a family planning timeline to reconsider how the Family Planning Program is structured. Erinn is hoping to have a final plan by September to present to the Board of Health to make plans for the future of the program. The Board opened the meeting for public comment. The public expressed concerns regarding the Sherriff sign in Bingen. They wanted to know what Klickitat County had in place for mental health and substance abuse support. Kevin Barry and Megen Winn explained the programs in place in our community to reach our youth and families regarding substance abuse. They also discussed the role Comprehensive mental health plays in our community. Dave Sauter motioned to adjourn the meeting at 6:45 pm. Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Vote was unanimous. Motion carried.
