Board of Health Meeting Minutes for March 22, 2016 The Klickitat County Board of Health meeting was held March 22, 2016 at the Klickitat County Board of Commissioners chambers. Board members present were Dave Sauter, Jim Sizemore and Rex Johnston. Klickitat County Health Department staff present were Kevin Barry, Terry Rundell, Matt Borden, David Kavanagh, Nikki Hollatz, Mattie Pillon, Kelly Willis, Penny Andress, Megan Winn and Renee Wuollet. The meeting was called to order at 2:50pm The first order of business was adoption of the April 28, 2015 Minutes. Rex Johnston moved to adopt the minutes, Jim Sizemore seconded the motion. Motion Carried. The second order of business was new staff introductions, introducing Mattie Pillon, Matt Borden, Renee Wuollet, Megan Winn, Penny Andress and Nikki Hollatz. The third order of business was to update the board on programs that Megan Winn and Renee Wuollet are involved in. Klickitat County is involved in a gorge wide health survey that involves both Washington and Oregon residents of the gorge. The survey will be done later this year. The two are also getting involved in the KLASAC (Klickitat Lyle Against Substance Abuse Coalition) program. The fourth order of business was to review the proposed resolution to update environmental health fees. There will be new fees added for food establishment ownership change, Mobile Food Establishment, annual license for School Satellite Kitchens, Other Solid Waste facility and water sample collection. The complexity level fees for food establishments will be raised. The gross annual income fee for food establishments, the fee for On-Site Sewage Operating permit, and Administrative Appeal fee will all be revoked. The late fee for any license or permit will now be the same as the fee for the specific license or permit. There was a brief discussion of the fee changes. Jim Sizemore moved to adopt the resolution, Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Motion Carried. The fifth order of business was the Family Planning Advisory Committee meeting. Jim Sizemore moved to adopt the minutes from the March 31, 2016 Family Planning Advisory Committee meeting. Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Motion carried. Jim Sizemore moved to approve the replacement of the Health Educator, Debbie Budnick, with new Health Educator, Megan Winn. Rex Johnston seconded. Motion Carried. Terry Rundell updated the board on the Family Planning program. She presented information on the decline in family planning clients. She informed the board of the outreach program going on in the Lyle School. The program with continue until the end of this school year and will most likely ---PAGE BREAK--- not continue next year. She talked briefly about the funding of the Family Planning program and that the county has to supplement the program. She also informed the board that STD rates are down from last year. A new electronic medical record program will be implemented this year. No public comment. Jim Sizemore motioned to adjourn the meeting at 3:20pm. Rex Johnston seconded the motion. Motion carried.
