NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Klickitat County Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on December 4, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 205 S. Columbus, Goldendale, WA. THE PURPOSE of said hearings is to hear all interested parties who wish to testify for or against the following proposal: CUP2017-10: Proponent: PUD No. 1 of Klickitat County. Proposed construction of the HW Hill Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Expansion Project. Presently, Roosevelt Regional Landfill gas is used to fire gas turbines for the production of electrical energy for sale. The proposed RNG project will instead use the landfill gas to produce renewable natural gas for sale to an off-taker as a renewable fuel. The project would include three major features: 1) A high BTU Plant which will clean and compress the biogas for delivery; 2) two gas pipelines (in a common trench) to deliver and return gas to and from the Northwest Pipeline, and 3) an interconnection between the pipelines and the Northwest Pipeline, which will include a meter station and communications equipment. The project will begin commercial operation in July 2018. The project is within portions of Sections 20, 21, 22, and 27 in T 4N, R 21E, W M, Klickitat County, including tax parcels: 04212000000400; 04212000000100; 04212100000200; 04212100000100; 04212200000200; 04212200000300; 04212700000200 The Board of Adjustment may approve, deny, approve with conditions, table, or continue the matters to a set time and place. The application is available for review at the Klickitat County Planning Department, 228 W. Main St., Goldendale, WA.
