NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Klickitat County Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on March 5, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Klickitat County Courthouse, Commissioners Meeting Room, 205 S. Columbus, Goldendale, WA. THE PURPOSE of said hearings is to hear all interested parties who wish to testify for or against the following proposals: Conditional Use Permit CUP2018-03 and Variance VAR2018-01. Applicant: Dirt Hugger, LLC. The purpose of the project is to expand dirt hugger facility onto an Industrial Park zoned parcel directly east of its current operations. This expansion to the east would allow for better contiguous flow of the composting operations with the storage of feedstock in the expansion area. The applicant is also requesting a variance to allow for outdoor storage of incoming feedstock to a height up to 12 feet. A sight-obscuring landscape berm will be built around the perimeter of the storage area. The proposed project location is within a portion of Section 23, T2N, R13E, W.M., Klickitat County, WA (Dallesport vicinity) on tax parcel 02132300000700. Variance request VAR2018-02. Applicant: Fire District # 5. A variance request to reduce the required yard depth from the west property line to 2 feet for the construction of an addition to the Centerville Fire Station. The proposed location is within a portion of Section 11, T3N, R15E, W.M., Klickitat, WA (Centerville Vicinity) on tax parcel 03151151020100. The Board of Adjustment may approve, deny, approve with conditions, table, or continue the matters to a set time and place.
