APPELLANT CHECKLIST 2021 Assessment Year for Taxes Payable 2022 Have You: 1. Read the information on the blue insert titled “Property Valuation Appeals” completely? 2. Filed your taxpayer appeal form with the Board of Equalization? 3. Submitted documentation/evidence to support your appeal that may be in the form of: □ comparable market sales and dates of sales closest to your property and closest to but not after your 1/1/2021 valuation date? (Completed and attached a “comparable sales data worksheet”) □ included a map showing the location of the comparable sales you have used in relation to the location of your property (very important)? □ photographs that may document your land/improvement deficiencies as well as photos of the comparables you have used? □ fee appraisals or appraisals prepared by others (complete copy required)? □ written cost estimates (prepared by a contractor or other qualified party) to repair problems/deficiencies (when/where applicable)? 4. Contacted the Assessor's Office either before after you filed your appeal form to try to settle or remediate your disputed values and any errors/discrepancies with the Assessor’s records?
