J & S Express J & S Express invites you to bring your family and friends to ride the fun! This 85 ft train pulls 5 passenger cars, 1 car is wheel chair accessible – a car with a power lift. The J & S Express is a 15 minute ride on the east side of Columbia Park and begins next to the Information Booth, north of the Family Fishing Pond. Summer Hours of Operation Saturday and Sunday, (weather permitting) Time: 1:00pm – 5:30 pm Cost: .50¢ per child $1.00 per adult (over 18 yrs of age) Some history, how J & S Express came to be . . . Washington State Trooper James E. Saunders, Badge #1053 was killed in the line of duty on October 7, 1999, in Pasco, Washington. In memory of Trooper Saunders, the dream of J & S Express was formed. Kenneth L. Johanning, a prominent community supporter/volunteer, spear headed the project and thanks many for their support, most especially, the support of City of Kennewick Councilman Paul Parish. The community warmly accepted the project thru various fundraising efforts and many donated hours. J & S Express was built by Lampson International, LTD. Currently, Horse Heaven Hills Kiwanis group manages J & S Express.
