A revitalized downtown is key to this. In my opinion, if you focus on making this area a destination spot you will succeed. There must be considerations for easy access, parking, walkways, as well as entertaining venues to succeed. I like areas of Seattle or Wenatchee that have quaint shops, perhaps a gathering place where innovation exists, some brand restaurants, a pier type feel with professional setting to a degree. No more wine villages.
