1.28 - 1 CHAPTER 1.28 HOURS OF OPERATION SECTION: 1.28.010: Official Business Hours of the City 1.28.020: Modifications to Official Hours 1.28.030: Validity of Actions Not Affected 1.28.010: Official Business Hours of the City: City offices shall normally be open for business Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. except legal holidays as established in accord with Chapter 2.64. (Ord. 5277 Sec. 1, 2009: Ord. 3057 Sec. 1 (part), 1987) 1.28.020: Modifications to Official Hours: The Manager is authorized to adjust the foregoing office hours including the closing of all City offices because of an emergency, to comply with applicable laws, rules, regulations or contractual obligations or for other just cause. Except for emergency closures, the Manager will give reasonable public notice of other closures or altered hours of operation. (Ord. 3057 Sec. 1 (part), 1987) 1.28.030: Validity of Actions Not Affected: Nothing contained in this chapter or otherwise is intended to affect the validity of any action taken by any officer, agent, or employee of the City of Kennewick, irrespective of the time of day, day of week, or the fact that day is a holiday.
