That is a four-lane highway 3,000 miles long. Grand Coulee Dam is truly impressive. Starting in 2014, a new laser light show was introduced to the public with fourteen vibrant colored lasers instead of four. Accompanying the light show is also a new historical movie depicting how the dam was built all spanning 3/4 of the Grand Coulee Dam. Light show begins at 8:30 pm. Prior to reaching Grand Coulee, a stop will be made at Dry Falls Interpretive Center in Coulee City. See remnants of what was once the largest waterfall known to have existed on earth. Viewing the 3.5 miles of sheer cliffs that drop 400 feet, it is easy to imagine the roar of the water that once poured over them (Niagra Falls by comparison, is 1-mile wide with a drop of 165 feet). Enjoy a buffet style dinner at Pepper Jack’s Restaurant known for its hospitality and fresh cuisine: seasoned chicken breast or lasagna, scalloped potatoes, Caesar salad, vegetable, dessert and tea, lemonade or water.
