MINIMUM SPECIFICATION FOR ROOF REPLACEMENT AND WARRANTY Streets Shop Building Location 1434 1st Ave W General Construction Outline The removal and replacement of the existing metal roofing and insulation of the 60’ X 100’ street department building. Roofing Material 1. A minimum of 24 gauge metal standing seam interlocking metal roofing shall be used. Metal shall be brown or tan to reduce glare for overhead aircraft. 2. Warranty information should be included in the bid. Shall include a minimum of a 2 year workmanship warranty. Shall include a minimum of 25 year material warranty. 3. Insulation shall be replaced with 2” WMP-VRR vinyl faced fiberglass insulation or the equivalent of. Not to exceed an insulation value of R-13 Material Removal 1. Existing roof metal shall be removed and stacked neatly to be disposed of by the City of Kalispell. 2. Existing insulation shall be removed and placed in a truck provided by the City of Kalispell. The City of Kalispell will haul away and dispose of insulation as needed. 3. Exhaust fans shall be removed by the contractor and set aside. Contractors will not be responsible for the reinstallation of exhaust fans. Timelines 1. Contractor shall give the City of Kalispell a minimum of 10 days’ notice before work begins 2. Work shall begin no earlier than 3/01/2019 and be completed no later than 5/31/2019 ---PAGE BREAK--- 3. The construction period shall be scheduled with Gene Corne, Road & Fleet Superintendent. Scheduling is of utmost importance as reconstruction of the back parking lot of the facility will be happening during the same timeframe. 4. The work must be done by 5:00 pm on Monday through Friday. The facility must be secured from 5:00 pm to 6:30 am Monday through Thursday, and from 5:00 pm on Friday until 6:30 am on Monday morning. Any holidays that should fall during the time of construction shall fall under the same rules of work ending at 5:00 pm the last working day before the holiday until 6:30 am the first working day following the holiday. 5. All bids for the Street Department building shall be turned in no later than 1/17/2019.
