RESTAURANTS & FOOD SERVICE What’s the problem? Food establishments can harm the environment if they are not careful with disposal and cleanup procedures. When food waste is handled carelessly fats, oils, grease, detergents, cleaners, and other chemicals can enter the storm system, which is illegal. You need to prevent polluted water from entering storm drains. Water that enters a storm drain is not treated or cleaned before entering our rivers.
