Advancing Development Finance Knowledge, Networks & Innovation May 4, 2015 Katherine Thompson City of Kalispell PO Box 1997 Kalispell, MT 59904 Re: Request for Project Response Team Visit Dear Ms. Thompson, The Council of Development Finance Agencies (CDFA) is pleased to inform you that we have selected the City of Kalispell to receive a Project Response Team site visit comprised of CDFA staff and technical assistance partners. This on-site technical assistance opportunity will address financing challenges related to the CHS properties/industrial park project. Project Response Team site visits are made possible through CDFA’s Brownfields Technical Assistance Program, funded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Through the program, CDFA provides resources and technical assistance related to redevelopment financing to communities throughout the country. This technical assistance site visit must be completed prior to September 30, 2015. CDFA staff will coordinate with the City of Kalispell and technical assistance advisors to determine the dates of travel. The City of Kalispell will be expected to support the efforts of the Project Response Team by arranging on-site meeting space, visits to the brownfields site, and participation of local stakeholders. Additionally, the City of Kalispell must be willing to perform reasonable due diligence on the Project Response Team’s recommendations. Please respond to confirm receipt of this letter and of the City of Kalispell’s willingness to support the Project Response Team as described. We will then work with you to select a date and team members for the site visit. We look forward to visiting you in the near future.
