Storm Water Management Training in Kalispell, MT April 10 - 12, 2018 Storm Water Management & Erosion Control During Construction BMP-101, April 10th 2018 This one-day class is designed for construction industry professions that are required to plan, design, manage or regulate permitted storm water management activities during construction. This class presents training participants the opportunity to learn about Montana Department of Environmental Quality’s storm water program and permitting requirements, including: Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans The process of erosion and sedimentation Types of Best Management Practices (BMPs) for various pollutants and erosion and sedimentation How to select and install appropriate BMPs Good housekeeping measures. The course will address topics that will prepare participants for the proper selection, application, and maintenance requirements of BMPs. A training manual will be provided for all participants. Training conducted by an instructor from Altitude Training Associates and a representative of the Montana DEQ. Administrator Certification Training, BMP-201, April 11th & 12th 2018 This is an intermediate level, two-day class designed for construction industry professions who will be functioning as the designated Administrator on permitted construction sites. The focus of this training class is to prepare participants to become Administrators. This class offers participants the opportunity to learn: The responsibilities of the Administrator The process and procedures for developing, implementing, and revising a A stronger working knowledge of BMPs How to properly conduct and document routine inspections. Day one of the class is in the classroom. Day two includes a field trip to an active construction site to evaluate site conditions. The training class will conclude with a written exam. A three year certification is issued to students successfully completing the course. A training manual will be provided for all participants. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the BMP 101: Storm Water Management course.
