{/p} KALISPELL, Mont. — A Flathead government organization recently won an award for a project underway in Kalispell. Flathead board recognized for redevelopment project in Kalispell by Vanessa Perez Wednesday, November 11th 2020 AA GENERAL ALERT: America This Week 'United We Stand' 22 ° 38 ° 37 ° Search Site ---PAGE BREAK--- 11/12/2020 Flathead board recognized for redevelopment project in Kalispell I KECI 2/4 The Flathead Economic Authority received a silver award from the International Economic Development Council. It was awarded through the multi-year economic program for the Glacier Rail Park & Kalispell Core Area Trail. FCEDA says the Õrst phase of the project focuses on the downtown area and expanding rail access to Flathead businesses. The second phase will Öip 1.6 miles of rail into a multi-use trail in the downtown area. The project also includes plans for a new complete street connection. FCEDA says the purpose of the trail is to connect people to places such as business districts, grocery stores, schools and more.
