JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION FEBRUARY 4, 2008 8:30 A.M. This meeting was held to prepare agenda for regular meeting. Those present were as follows: William Rabun, Chairman, Gonice Davis, Vice-Chairman, Sidney Norton, Member, Johnny Davis, Member, Mickey Moses, Co. Attorney, Paul Bryan, Co. Administrator, and Mary Lamb, Co. Clerk. Tommy New was absent. Chairman Rabun called meeting to order. Commissioner Johnny Davis opened meeting with prayer. Commissioner Norton made a motion to adopt agenda Commissioner Johnny Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner Gonice Davis made a motion to authorize chairman to sign application with Ga. Dept. of Human Resources on 5311 vans and place on consent agenda. Commissioner Johnny Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to allow Carter Watkins Inc. to prepare preliminary architectural report for gym at recreation park and put on consent agenda. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to approve resolution In Support of Prescribed Fire and place on consent agenda. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to install a fence around recreation park and place on consent agenda. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval. County Administrator, Paul Bryan, gave a report. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to adjourn. This was the regular scheduled meeting for the month of February. Those present were as follows: William Rabun, Chairman, Gonice Davis, Vice-Chairman, Johnny Davis, Member, Tommy New, Member, Mickey Moses, Co. Attorney, Paul Bryan, Co. Administrator, and Mary Lamb, Co. Clerk. Sidney Norton was absent. Chairman Rabun called meeting to order and opened meeting with prayer. Commissioner New made a motion to adopt agenda. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to adopt minutes. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Committee reports were given. The following items were on the consent agenda: Authorize Chairman Sign Application Georgia Department of Human Resources Resolution 5311 Vans, Carter Watkins, Inc. Preliminary Architectural Report Gym, Resolution In Support of Prescribed Fire, and Fence for Recreation Park. Commissioner New made a motion to approve items on ---PAGE BREAK--- consent agenda. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner New made a motion to adopt Proclamation USS Georgia (SSGN 729) Day. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to authorize County Administrator to proceed with application for Homeland Security to Purchase Equipment for E-911. Commissioner New seconded with unanimous approval. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to approve Amendment FY 2008 Aging Contract / Cooperative Agreement with CSRA Regional Development Center. Commissioner Gonice Davis seconded with unanimous approval Charles McDonald, Farm Lane Road, Wrens, Ga. stated he had a problem with a burned trailer on property that was located next to him. He asked the county to do something to get the trailer cleaned off the lot. The County Attorney will write a letter to landowner. Commissioner Johnny Davis made a motion to adjourn. Thomas New, Member JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS BID OPENING FEBRUARY 18, 2008 3:00 P.M. This meeting was held to open bids for Emergency Medical Services for Jefferson County. At 3:10 pm. Paul Bryan stated that one bid package had been received from Gold Cross. He stated that he and attorney would go over bid.
