Calendar of Events Tax Year 2013 Payable 2014 Calendar of Events Apr 25: Tax bills mailed Jun 02: First installment due Jun 03: 1.5% interest per month due on late first installment payments, per Illinois State Statute Sep 02: Second installment due Sep 03: 1.5% interest per month due on late second installment payments, per Illinois State Statute Sep 29: Last day for payment by personal check; payments must be made with certified funds after this date Oct 02: Certified letters mailed on delinquent properties, additional $10 penalty incurred Oct 07: Payments must be received in our office by this date to avoid newspaper publication Oct 13: Newspaper publication of delinquent taxes this week (Runs between 10/13 and 10/17) Oct 15: Tax buyer registration deadline Oct 20: Last day for credit card payments Oct 28: Application for judgment and order of sale for taxes on delinquent properties Oct 28: Final payments must be received in certified funds in the office by 4:30pm to avoid tax sale. Oct 29: Tax sale begins at 9:00am, County Board Room #400 All dates subject to change.
