An appointment is highly recommended; if you do not have an appointment, you may have to wait or come back at an appointed time. The appointment for an application is not the same as the marriage / civil union ceremony. We can only give you your license so that you may get married or have the civil union performed. We advise you to set your marriage / civil union date prior to making an appointment with the Clerk’s office. Both parties must be present. The Marriage / Civil Union application process will take approximately 15 minutes if you have an appointment. The cost is $38.00 CASH.
