Washington Street, Room 102 PO Box 2400 Bloomington, IL 61702-2400 Website: Email: [EMAIL REDACTED] Commonly Asked Mobile Home Questions and Answers I sold my mobile home, but still received a bill. Why? By statute, if you own the mobile home on January 1st, you are responsible for the bill. If the home was sold after January 1st and you made arrangements with the buyer to pay the bill, forward the bill to them. If payment arrangements were not made, you are responsible for the bill as of January 1st. All of the mobile home taxes run in the current year unlike real estate, which is always a year in arrears. The information on my mobile home is incorrect. How do I get it corrected? All information on the bills mailed to mobile home owners is received from the assessors. If your name, mobile home make, year, or square footage is incorrect on your bill, you can either bring us a copy of your title or contact the assessor who handles your mobile home park, to give them the corrected information. The assessor is required to contact us with the corrected information and we will follow up with the Treasurer's Office if a corrected bill needs to be mailed. They will then create a corrected bill. We cannot take this information over the telephone. All corrected information must come from the title or the assessors in writing. I did not receive my 20% Senior Citizen or Disability Discount. Why? By statute, if you are 65 years of age or older, or if you have a disability, you would qualify for a mobile home tax discount of 20%. To receive this discount, an application must be completed and received to us by May 1st. You need only apply once; it is no longer required every year. When received, your account is flagged for this discount. We can mail you a form for completion, it is available on our website, or you can pick one up in our office at any time. ---PAGE BREAK--- X:\Tax Extension\Mobile Home\Commonly Used Forms\Commonly Asked Mobile Home Questions and Answers.docx Township Assessors Allin – Justin Milton Anchor – Timothy Grusy Arrowsmith – Justin Milton Bellflower – Timothy Grusy Bloomington – Glenn Milton Blue Mound – Justin Milton Cheney's Grove – Timothy Grusy Chenoa – Timothy Grusy City of Bloomington – Steven Scudder Cropsey – Timothy Grusy Dale – Justin Milton Danvers – Justin Milton Dawson – Justin Milton Downs – Glenn Milton Dry Grove – Misty Lay Empire – Justin Milton Funk's Grove – Jeff Martindale Gridley – Timothy Grusy Hudson – Dee Brines Lawndale – Timothy Grusy Lexington – Timothy Grusy Martin – Justin Milton Money Creek – Glenn Milton Mount Hope – Jeff Martindale Normal – Rob Cranston Old Town –Terry DeHaan Randolph – Glenn Milton Towanda – Justin Milton West – Timothy Grusy White Oak – Misty Lay Yates – Timothy Grusy Mobile Home Parks Alexander Estates ……………...Steven Scudder Maple Grove Estates …………Steven Scudder All Seasons ……………………….Timothy Grusy Maywood Village ………………Steven Scudder Bishop Milton Meadows of Bloomington …..Glenn Milton Cardinal Ridge…………………….Steven Scudder North Meadow Village ………Robert Cranston Claflin Milton Octavia Milton Country Lane Milton Peterson Milton Coomer Milton The Pines Glenn Milton Eastern Drive …………………….Timothy Grusy Prairieland ………………………Steven Scudder Grandview Estates ……………..Steven Scudder Prairie Place Steven Scudder Greenwood City …………………Steven Scudder Royal Acres Cranston Greenwood Rural ………….……Glenn Milton South Park Scudder Hillcrest Steven Scudder South Village ……………………Justin Milton Hilltop Scudder Spencer Milton Hilltop Lexington………………..Timothy Grusy Westwind Estates Milton King City Milton Willow Creek …………………..Steven Scudder The Landings Cranston Marcum Milton
