County Board Room 400 Tax Sale Contact: Treasurer Rebecca McNeil or Assistant Treasurer Brenda Jones Registration: A registration fee of $250.00 is required along with your registration forms. The fee will be applied towards your final purchases or returned to you if you do not buy. The fee will be forfeited if you do not attend the sale. Sale results will be communicated by email. Completed registration forms must be received in our office at least 10 business days before the tax sale. They may be submitted by mail, email or fax by October 15, 2014. Retain you records for verification of this. Tax Buyers List: List will be available October 13, 2014. Cost $50.00 – payable in advance with your registration. List will be emailed by our office and/or our automated tax sale auction service, RAMS. Updated lists will be emailed for no additional charge. We will also have printed lists available through our office if you cannot provide an email address. If mailing is required, include an additional $5.00 for postage. Updated printouts will be available upon request for an additional cost of $15.00. If mailing is required, include an additional $5.00 for postage. Please contact the office to order the printed list prior to arriving. Terms of Sale: You will be required to sign an agreement stating you will be buying taxes you will follow the sale procedures as required by law you will not buy any taxes for real estate in which you have an interest you will pay the amount due immediately in the form of cash, money order, or check only 1 buyer per company is allowed to bid at the sale If you do not comply with the terms of the agreement, the sale will be voided and the parcel(s) will again be offered for sale. Subsequent Taxes: If you intend to pay subsequent taxes before the tax sale, they must be paid on or before October 28, 2014 to allow processing time. Please notify us a day in advance so we can have the bills ready.
