We have implemented the following process to help achieve this. For new developments or buildouts of existing commercial buildings, the following applies: We will schedule a pre-planning meeting including all necessary parties either in person or via web meeting. Please provide us with a preliminary site plan and drawing of the building including size, occupancy type, and a brief commodity description at this meeting. After the pre-planning meeting, you can then submit digital copies of Land Disturbance Plans and final building plans including site, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and utilities by clicking the ePlan link on the Gordon County Building website. After the plan review process is approved, you can then apply for the appropriate permits which our staff will guide you through this process. A pre construction meeting will be scheduled after permitting and prior to construction to include contractor, inspectors, soil and erosion control Gordon County is currently enforcing the following codes per Georgia DCA all including Georgia Amendments: 2018 International Building Code 2023 National Electrical Code 2018 Mechanical Code 2018 Plumbing Code 2018 Fuel Gas Code 2012 ADA 2018 Life Safety Code 2015 Energy Code Current Storm Water and Erosion Control as adopted
