Electrical Service Change/Upgrade Procedure Please perform the following procedures for changing or upgrading electrical services. 1) Acquire proper permits from our permitting office prior to work performed. 2) Schedule with service provider for a date and time of disconnection/reconnection if required. 3) Schedule inspection with our office the business day before inspection will be needed. 4) On the day work is to be performed, call inspector 1 hour prior to the completion of work. An inspector will come to the site for inspection. 5) If work will not be finished before 3:30, the inspection will be scheduled for the following business day. Please plan accordingly. 6) Ensure smoke and CO detectors are installed and functioning in proper locations. 7) Minimum of 2 ground rods will be required. 8) Whole house surge protection must be installed.
