City of Gilbert, Iowa REQUEST FOR BIDS for Red Buchman Community Center Renovation RFB # 2021-004 The purpose of this Request for Bids (RFB) is to solicit bid applications which will enable the City of Gilbert to select the most qualified Applicant to provide a variety of skilled work associated with general oversight, maintenance and emergency repair of City of Gilbert’s water and/or wastewater systems. Project and Contract Period The project period shall be from November 2021 to April 30, 2022. Scope of Services Remove overhead garage door, close opening in wall including trim work, painting of entire west wall, installing two windows, insulation and install siding on exterior to match existing. See attached document for additional information on scope of services. Walk-through of area can be arranged by scheduling with City Hall. Post RFB City of Gilbert will post the RFB on the city webpage at: www.cityofgilbertiowa.org The RFP will remain posted through the Bid Application Due date. Bid Application due November 12, 2021. Bid applications must be submitted to the City of Gilbert, Iowa by 12:00 p.m. (local Iowa time) 11/12/21. If awarded: 1. Expenditure variance amounts are allowed up to a maximum of 5% of the approved budget amount. The Contractor shall submit a written justification and request for a budget amendment to the City prior to the obligation of an expense which will exceed the allowed 5% cumulative variance. West wall must be closed in with insulation and drywall. Two windows approximately 30”x12” installed 2 feet from ceiling. Match trim along base of wall. Match cork/wood around northwest corner. Paint entire west wall to match existing color. Match outside siding in type and color, or paint to match existing colors.
