Interim City Manager Fred Turnier said adding the use of digital video is another step the City is taking to improve communications with Fernley residents and visitors. “It is an opportunity for those who cannot regularly attend City Council meetings to learn more about how their government operates and what issues the City is facing. Improved communication has come up again and again when talking to residents, adding this new medium will allow residents to put a face to a name and better acquaint them with both elected officials and City employees.” Residents cited a need for better communication in the recent Community Assessment and the measure falls in line with the goals outlined in the City’s Strategic Plan. You can watch the Council meetings by signing on at www.cityoffernley.org/live. Regularly scheduled meetings occur the first and third Wednesday of the month and typically begin at 5:00pm.
