Fernley, NV – August 22, 2011, With the implementation of the changes to the City’s website, the City of Fernley now has the capability to notify individuals of emergency situations on their website, via email, and SMS (Short Message Service or Text Message). I am asking that all residents and community partners take a few minutes to sign up to receive these emergency alerts. During times of City-wide emergencies, this system will be utilized to provide timely, accurate, information to our residents. The process is simple and will take no more than a couple of minutes. Please visit www.cityoffernley.org/notifyme and enter your email address to register. You can then select your preferred method of notification (email or cell phone) under “Alert Center”.
