FPC Subcommittee Meeting Date: WEDNESDAY, March 11, 2009 1. PUBLIC INPUT. Items not agendized for this meeting cannot be acted upon other than to place them on future agendas. NO action was taken on this item. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 10, 2008 AND JANUARY 14, 2009. A motion to accept the minutes for December 10, 2008 AND January 14, 2009 was APPROVED by a vote of 2-0-1 Smith abstained. 3. ADDRESS REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF PRELIMINARY DRAFT CHAPTER AND SECTION(S) OF THE CITY OF FERNLEY DEVELOPMENT CODE UPDATE. Community Development Director Fred Turnier reviewed some schedule modifications. He anticipated bringing the final update to the Planning Commission for adoption in June and forwarding it to the City Council in July. 4. ADDRESS RV AND 5TH WHEEL RESIDENTIAL QUARTERS. After much discussion, the Subcommittee suggested looking at policies in other jurisdictions. There was interest from the Subcommittee to allow temporary (1-2 days) residential use (within NRS allowance) and commercial use for watchmen’s quarters. Community Development Director Fred Turnier would look into other policies and address this item again at a future meeting. 5. ADDRESS REQUEST(S) FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS. Requests for future agenda items included: Discussion regarding alleyways (placement, acceptable standards, etc) 6. ADJOURNMENT. The meeting ADJOURNED at 4:38 p.m. by a vote of 3-0-0.
