FPC Subcommittee Meeting Date: WEDNESDAY, April 8, 2009 1. PUBLIC INPUT. NO action was taken on this item. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES FOR MARCH 11, 2009 This item was APPROVED by a vote of 3-0-0. 3. ADDRESS REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF REVISED SCHEDULE, POSSIBLE JOINT CITY COUNCIL / PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING AND PRELIMINARY DRAFT CHAPTER AND SECTION(S) OF THE CITY OF FERNLEY DEVELOPMENT CODE UPDATE. NO action was taken on this item. Community Development Director Fred Turnier gave a presentation outlining where the process was at and what was expected for completion within the next few months. He provided a draft copy of the updated Development Code and solicited comments in areas that were not yet complete: Design Standards for Commercial, Industrial and Multi- Family; Overlay Districts; Changes to Approval Process for Certain Types of Applications (giving the Planning Commission the ability for final approval, with the right to appeal to the City Council); Tree Protection; Hillside Development; Flood Hazard Areas; Wetland Protection Standards; Possible Changes to the Right to Farm Provision; and Historic Preservation Districts. 4. ADDRESS REQUEST(S) FOR FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS. There were NO requests for future agenda items. 5. ADJOURNMENT. The meeting ADJOURNED at 5:23p.m. by a vote of 3-0-0.
