PUBLIC NOTICE The Farmington Metropolitan Planning Organization (FMPO) is the transportation planning forum for the cities of Farmington, Aztec and Bloomfield and the surrounding county area. The FMPO develops a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), which is a program of projects reasonably expected to be funded within the next six years. This public comment period meets all of the applicable requirements of the federal transportation bill MAP-21 and the federal transit requirements of Section 5307(c) The Farmington MPO is advertising Amendment #8 to the FFY2014-2019 Transportation Improvement Program which amends one project and adds a new project as follows: Added/Amended Projects Project Name: NM 173 Control Number: F100170 Project Description: Safety Project Project Termini: MP 2 to MP 3.5 Lead Agency: NMDOT Functional Classification: Urban Major Collector Funding Source STPF, HSIP Funding Amount: FY2015 Add an additional $110,000 in STPF funds FY 2016 $1,000,000 HSIP no change FY 2014 $500,000 HSIP (ROW) no change FY 2014 $500,000 HSIP (PE) no change Fiscal Year FFY2014, FFY2015, FFY 2016 Total Project Cost: $2,110,000 Project Name: Bridge Preventative Maintenance Project Control Number: F100115 Project Description: Bridge 8243- 8244 (US 550) & Bridge 7526 (US64) Project Termini: Various Locations Lead Agency: NMDOT Functional Classification: Principal Arterial (Other) Funding Source NHPP Funding Amount: $933,900 Fiscal Year FY2015 Total Project Cost: $933,900 As required by federal law and the Farmington MPO Public Participation Plan, the FMPO is holding a 30-day Public Comment period and Public Hearing on Amendment The 30-day comment period is from October 12, 2014 to November 10, 2014.
