Broadway – Farmington, NM ---PAGE BREAK--- COMMENTS FROM 1st PUBLIC MEETING Summary of Comments: Speed Remediation, i.e. Reduce Speeding Storm Water Runoff Bicycle and Pedestrian Amenities. ---PAGE BREAK--- Majority of Comments Expressed the Following option Base Cross Section: ---PAGE BREAK--- The Preferred Option was Modified as follows. Roadway Section Modified from 12-Foot to 11-Foot Drive Lanes and 6-Foot to 5-Foot Bicycle Lanes. Drainage Swales along West Shoulder, Limited sections of Curb to Control, both Off-Site and Roadway Storm Water Runoff. Drainage Swale on East Side Moved Between Roadway and 10-Foot wide Multi-Use Path, (i.e. Pedestrian, Equestrian, Bicycle use) to Control Storm Water Routing. ---PAGE BREAK--- : Recommended Base Cross Section ---PAGE BREAK--- Small Ponding Areas Added to Control Roadway Runoff, i.e. Provide Percolation and Hold Storm Water Longer in the Roadway Section, plus the use of Small Diameter Storm Drainage systems to drain to historic outfalls where possible. The goal is to reduce flows to properties from road runoff. Roadway Crown to be established at 2% minimum and up to 3% to Control On-Site and Off-Site Drainage.
