March  Colon Prevention Month – Class on Prevention listed below Please remember that screening is the best prevention and should be done every 5 years if you have a history of polyps.  Weight is a contributing factor in Colon Cancer prevention therefore we have scheduled Weight Management Class listed below  Weigh In on Fridays- in the Activity Center, Omega Gonzales will be documenting your weight every Friday from 8:00 am – 9:00 am as a free service. You are free to do your own weight management program but, have the support and accountability of someone checking your progress. Please check out all of the exercise programs available on our calendar and get moving for Spring. Larry’s favorite quote “Move it or Lose it! Weight Management & Control Wednesday, March 12 10:00am – 11:00am Senior Activity Center Healthy Weight: discuss ways to a healthier diet and lifestyle for all ages, by promoting healthy habits that can be kept throughout one’s life. Healthy Weight Awareness: will teach preventative measures and healthy ways to eat and exercise while feeling good about ourselves and others. Colon Cancer Awareness Wednesday, March 19th 10:00am – 11:00am Senior Activity Center Discuss ways to reduce early detection to reduce possibility of developing colon cancer, healthy habits that reduce the occurrence by following basic tips. Weigh In Every Friday, starting March 14 8:00am – 9:00am Senior Activity Center This is a way to check your weight weekly while following your own weight management program.
