PUBLIC NOTICE The Farmington MPO is advertising Amendment #10 to the FFY2014-2019 Transportation Improvement Program which adds one project and amends two others as follows: This public comment period meets all of the applicable requirements of the federal transportation bill MAP-21 and the federal transit requirements of Section 5307(c) Added/Amended Projects Project Name: East Piñon Hills Blvd Extension (Phase I) Control Number: F100100 Project Description: Full rebuild of the Intersection of Piñon Hills and NM 516; Extension of Piñon Hills Blvd to include earthwork, asphalt, street lighting, drainage improvements and signalization upgrades. Future Phases II & III are outside of the current cycle. Project Termini: NM 516 Main to Hubbard) Lead Agency: City of Farmington Functional Classification: Principal Arterial (Other) Funding Source TCSP, STP Small Urban, CMAQ Flex, Local Match Funding Action: Remove $250,000 CMAQ Flex funds Fiscal Year FY2019 Total Project Cost Phase I: $3,700,000 New Project to TIP: East Piñon Hills Blvd Extension (Phase II) Control Number: F100101 Project Description: Includes earthwork, asphalt, intersection lighting, bridges over the Animas River and oxbow, drainage improvements, environmental mitigation. Project Termini: Hubbard to CR 3000 Lead Agency: City of Farmington Functional Classification: Principal Arterial (Other) Funding Source CMAQ Flex, Local Funds Funding Action: Add CMAQ Flex $213,600 Local Match $36,400 moved over from CN F100100 (Phase I) Fiscal Year FY2017 Total Project Cost Phase II: $13,265,454 Project Name: East Arterial Route Phase II Control Number: F100091 Project Description Change: Construct remaining road section from end of Phase I to NM 173 including a detached multi-use pedestrian path. Utility work consisting of a 10-inch water line will be constructed for the entire length of the project. Project Termini: From Legion Road to NM 173 Lead Agency: City of Aztec Functional Classification: Principal Arterial (Other) ---PAGE BREAK--- Project to delete from TIP: San Juan County Road 7500 Control Number: F10040 Project Description: Maintenance and Resurfacing (road repair) Project Termini: MP 7.2 to MP 0 (US 550) Lead Agency: San Juan County Functional Classification: Local Funding Source STP FY 2008 Earmark Funding Amount: $264,000 Federal $361,000 Local Funds Fiscal Year FY2015 Total Project Cost: $625,000 As required by federal law and the Farmington MPO Public Participation Plan, the FMPO is holding a 30-day Public Comment period and Public Hearing on Amendment The 30-day comment period is from January 25, 2015 to February 23, 2015. The public may also make comments on the proposed amendments at the following meeting: Public Hearing: During the Farmington MPO Technical Committee meeting at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the Aztec City Commission Chambers, 201 West Chaco, Aztec, New Mexico 87410.
