April April is Parkinson’s disease Awareness Month and we should all take a minute to take care of ourselves and our loved ones by knowing the signs and of this disease. Please attend one of the classes listed below to learn about the risk factors and options for those who may be at risk or already suffering from Parkinson’s. The Basics of Eating Well: Remember the key to avoiding many common and more dangerous illnesses and diseases is by eating healthy and staying active. Try eating a variety of foods including fruits, vegetables, lean meats and try to use fats and sweets sparingly as over time, they may degrade your overall health and cause unintended weight gain. Try drinking water throughout the day instead of high calorie soft drinks or artificial juices and eat high fiber foods, such as; bran, rice, oats, peas, and beans.
