N E W R E L E A S E FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 21, 2015 Contact: Aaron Snell, Community Information Officer, [PHONE REDACTED] Homicide in Everett EVERETT – The Everett Police detectives are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred overnight. Just before 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 20 , 2015, officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 4100 block of Colby Ave. Arriving officers found an adult male had been fatally shot inside a residence. The area was searched but no suspects were found. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene to interview possible witnesses, process evidence at the scene and develop suspect information. At this time, the reason for the shooting is unknown as is the identity of anyone involved. As detectives conclude their onscene investigation, the Snohomish Coun ty Medical Examiner’s Office will take custody of the deceased to determine cause and manner of death and will also establish identity.
